Once upon a time, there was a king who had a wealthy close friend. They both shared a fondness of hunting and would always go hunting together. They usually hunted in far places, in jungles belonging to the king. As time passed and age crept up on the king, his frail health would not allow him to go hunting in jungles anymore. So he requested his trusty friend for one last big hunting trip, in the nearby forest belonging to him. The honourable friend initially agreed, however, when the day of the hunt arrived, he apologetically informed the king, they cannot hunt in his forest, as his children’s nanny believes in animal-rights and dislikes outsiders hunting in the forest.
Similarly, you will notice that the USA and UK have been close allies and have for more than 70 years plundered the third world countries together. The UK, being the junior partner has benefitted immensely from this special relationship.
Today, America is no longer the force it was 20 years ago. Decades of wars have left the once supergiant bankrupt. It no longer has the capability to invade any strong opponents. Recently, when Iran downed the American drone, retaliation was not an option for the USA. America’s impotence became obvious to the world. America wants to avoid any new wars.
In fact, it has already lost the war in Afghanistan and a final agreement is to be announced within weeks if not days. The declaration of defeat will trigger a downfall in the American stock markets which are already on the verge of collapse. America has built up a huge debt over the decades. Despite having the ability to print dollars at will, it is still facing a catastrophic decline in economic terms. It is now hungry, however, like a frail lion is unable to go hunting again. American empire wants easy and not so costly pickings .
At this point, Karl Marx’s words come to mind, when he said that one-day capitalism will come home to devour itself. It has become clear that corporate cannibalism is the force behind the Brexit. The intention was that once the UK leaves the EU, Trade Agreement with America would conveniently replace the same. The goods that were coming from the EU would then come from the USA. In my view, the USA needs the Brexit more than the UK does as it would soften the impact of the economic and financial collapse that America is staring at.
There is no doubt that the American companies must have lobbied British politicians, who are willing to serve the interest of the international capitalists. Bojo and Co, are keen to sell and privatise British gems like the NHS and the English agriculture to American corporations e.g. Monsanto which is eager to grow genetically modified crops all over the English farming lands and destroy the fertile soils.
In my view, the UK agreed to Brexit as long as it was in its interest and America’s downfall was not imminent at that time. Now, it seems the UK is willing to backstab America, by denying the Brexit, and is likely to tell them that although they would love to go ahead and do everything possible for the USA’s benefit. However, the problem is that the nannies in the parliament dislike outsiders hunting in their forests.
As I said before, “alliances are created to enhance interests, and are abandoned just as eagerly when interests shift elsewhere. In politics there is no such thing as permanent alliances, only permanent interests.”
British politicians are
