TWO TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE – THE ANTICHRIST BOOK

There are two types of knowledge, a worldly knowledge and a divine knowledge, The divine knowledge relates to morals and governance as commanded by God.

There are two types of knowledge. First is the knowledge that Allah (SWT) gave to Adam (AS) at the time of his creation. In the Qur’an, it is mentioned that:

˹Remember˺ when your Lord said to the angels, “I am going to place a successive ˹human˺ authority on earth.” They asked ˹Allah (SWT) ˺, “Will You place in it someone who will spread corruption there and shed blood while we glorify Your praises and proclaim Your holiness?” Allah (SWT) responded, “I know what you do not know.” (Qur’an 2:30)

He taught Adam the names of all things, then He presented them to the angels and said, “Tell Me the names of these, if what you say is true?” (Qur’an 2:31)

They replied, “Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. You are truly the All-Knowing, All-Wise.” (Qur’an 2:32)
Allah (SWT) said, “O Adam! Inform them of their names.” Then when Adam did, Allah (SWT) said, “Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?” (Qur’an 2:33)

In the above text, Allah (SWT) mentions the knowledge He gave to Adam (AS). This knowledge has benefitted humanity from the first day onward. All the inventions and innovations over the past 40,000+ years, e.g., from the invention of the wheel to the invention of mobile phones and satellites, are all included in this, as well as advancement in every conceivable domain.

The second knowledge is the knowledge that is sent down by Allah (SWT) through his prophets, the divine knowledge. It is the divine knowledge that teaches us morals and values that we should cherish; it tells us how to live and behave with fellow humans. It also includes the type of governance we should have. As mentioned in the Quran:

We said, “Descend all of you! Then when guidance comes to you from Me, whoever follows it, there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs will be the residents of the Fire. They will be there forever.” (Qur’an 2:38-39)

Who can know better than the Creator Himself about the needs of the creation?

How could He who created not know His own creation, when He is the Subtlest the All Aware? (Qur’an 67:14)

We need both kinds of knowledge. We need to see the world with both eyes. If we choose to close one eye and only look at the world from a materialistic and egoistic point of view, we are bound to make huge mistakes. This has become evident now.

Focusing purely on worldly knowledge is bound to entice an individual’s innate desires, like greed and power, to exploit that knowledge in ways that contravene divine laws, e.g., leading to the movement of resources—East India Company, Stalin’s Russia, Chairman Mao, etc.—to fulfil those desires at the expense of the vulnerable.

This one-eyed approach for the last 500 years has led the world to the point of destruction.

It does not have to be this way. We have the option of choosing. There are choices. Allah (SWT) has granted us free will. It means we can protect ourselves from any fitnah. There are always alternatives. This is why Allah (SWT) tells us:

So be steadfast in faith in all uprightness ˹O Prophet˺—the natural Way of Allah (SWT) which He has instilled in ˹all˺ people. Let there be no change in this creation of Allah (SWT). That is the Straight Way, but most people do not know. (Qur’an 30:30)

These are the two opposing forces at war. One is fitnah and the other is righteousness (divine writ). It is a war – a war for humanity – to save every soul from damnation. It is a war that humanity cannot afford to lose and must fight back. We are commanded to choose and obey what Allah (SWT) has sent for us through His messengers, the divine knowledge.
